----- Continuing to make use of The Village Design Statement in raising the profile of the village and the continued use of the Statement in establishing a set of standard for long term conservation of the village environment. ------ Monitoring and managing Holybred Wood as an asset for the whole community. This wood was under threat of sale for development and with the hard work of the Conservation Society and the Parish Council, enough funds were raised to give it ongoing protection. It is an ancient woodland area noted for its magnificent bluebells and source of inspiration to all who walk there.
