Welcome to Little Baddow Conservation Society

The objectives of the charity are to promote the conservation, protection and improvement of the physical environment of the parish of little Baddow.  We focus on acquiring and protecting sites for conservation, improvement of its amenities and to comment and advise upon projects and developments which might be detrimental to the area.

As the environmental voice of Little Baddow it:

- aims to protect and maintain the woods and scenic beauty of the area that creates an essential green lung for the wider Chelmsford community who are experiencing ongoing housing development and infrastructure growth

 - organises interesting talks and walks with experts in small groups, observing first hand the tremendous biodiversity of the area

- assists in maintaining the ambience of the village by joining the gallant band of litterpickers who adopt a chosen area in the parish

- takes pride in the ancient woodland and bluebells in Holybred Wood which was acquired through the hard work of the Conservation Society and Parish Council in raising enough funds to give it ongoing protection.

Everyone is warmly welcome to take part in our events, which are publicised in the Little Baddow News and on the village notice boards.

See our 'Programme and Achievements' page for details.
